Welcome to the High Desert Sheep Dog Association, based in western Nevada.

The goal of this association is to support competition in USBCHA and ISDS-style trials, and to promote the use, preservation and perpetuation of the working sheep dog. Good stockmanship and good sportsmanship shall stand as core values of the HDSDA, while we also foster a spirit of camaraderie and good will through competitions, fun days, training clinics, sheep dog demonstrations and other events.

Please note that the HDSDA welcomes all herding breeds, but we maintain focus on field and ranch trials. We will not be hosting arena course trials, as there is already a local stockdog club, WASCON, which presents such events.

Along with clinics, fun trials and and non-sanctioned Novice and Pro Novice trials, we sometimes also host sanctioned USBCHA field trials.

Full memberships are $25 a year, per person, or you can choose the $10 Associate membership, which does not include the right to vote in club matters. Membership runs from January 1 to December 31 each year, with memberships due on or before the annual meeting, in order to have the right to vote.
